During her cancer treatment, Gillian Battino developed a deep passion for rescuing and adopting animals. Her animals brought her comfort and companionship during a difficult time, and that experience inspired her to use her platform to help more animals find safe, loving forever homes.
Gillian is a strong supporter of the important work local Humane Societies do every day for animals and for the broader community. While the Humane Society is not endorsing Gillian or any other candidate, she is proud to support their mission, highlight the animals in need of adoption, and recognize the staff, volunteers, and community members who make that work possible.
